Jeffrey Sanchez-Burks
Dr. Jeffrey Sanchez-Burks is a Professor of Management and Organizations at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and the Faculty Director of Action-Based Learning. He received his Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Michigan with graduate training in Cultural Anthropology. Previously, he was on the faculty at the University of Southern California and has had visiting appointments at universities in Singapore, France, Turkey and Russia. He is currently on the Editorial Board of Organization Science and the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology.
Professor Sanchez-Burks is an award winning scholar and executive educator who has taught leaders in over 30 countries around the world working in diverse sectors as banking, arts & entertainment, government intelligence, manufacturing, and healthcare.
His publications focus on topics that include leading change, innovation/creativity, intercultural competence and emotional intelligence. His research has been featured in the TED* series, The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, National Public Radio, The Harvard Business Review, and ABC.
He was appointed by the US National Academy of Sciences to contribute to research panels for various government agencies on topics involving changing approaches to building cross-cultural report and future research agendas for the US Army.
JSB was born in San Francisco, raised in Los Angeles, and lives in Ann Arbor.
