Whatever industry or country you are from, whatever stage you have reached in your management career, we have an Open Executive Programme for you. We have one of the world’s largest portfolios of programmes, and enjoy global recognition. We have around 50 Open Programmes, each designed with success in mind. They range from our flagship General Management Programmes and our highly respected personal development programmes, through to our expert functional programmes in supply chain and logistics, marketing, human resources, operations management and much more. The breath of the portfolio is matched by its depth: you will find intellectual rigour, and a determination to see that rigour put into practical use. Our world-class reputation in executive education is built on our dedication to improving business performance and inspiring today’s and tomorrow’s business leaders. The programmes run through the year, providing access to the latest thinking from the school, and the opportunity to meet and network with a diverse group of peers from all over the world.
What makes a good Open Programme great? It is the people with whom you share it – both your fellow participants, and those leading it. Our faculty is world-respected. Leaders in their chosen fields, actively engaged in consultancy and business relevant research, they are closely in touch with the needs of business and government. They are committed to practicality, which means they are consistently current and topical in their teaching. Our faculty come with strong backgrounds in their own world of business. They understand your challenges. They have are faced them themselves, and they can help you do the same. The increasing diversity of our faculty, from across the world, ensure that they have a global perspective.
Every year, people from as many as 115 different countries come to Cranfield School of Management. Their shared experience, and the international experience represented by our own faculty members, makes a fundamental difference to the programmes we offer. In some cases, such as supply chain and logistics programmes, this global scope is of direct relevance, which is why several of our programmes attract a high number of international participants. This shared experience broadens everyone’s frame of reference. It enables them to draw distinctions, and to make comparisons.
We provide a learning environment that is second to none. The quality of our accommodation, IT and library facilities, respondents told the FT, is unrivalled. The Cranfield Management Development Centre is our purpose-built residential and management facility. The facilities have been designed to create an environment that is conducive to effective learning while providing the high standard of accommodation expected by global business managers. Our class sizes mean that you will receive all the individual attention and time you require in order to benefit from a genuinely transformative learning experience. This also means that you will really get to know other like-minded executives on the programme who are from diverse industries and geographies.

Customised management development at Cranfield makes full use of the knowledge, skills and experience of both partners. We seek to understand your organisation, what you want to achieve and what you want your managers to do differently.
We gain this understanding by initial research with key internal stakeholders. This enables us to recognise your key challenges and to identify the desired development outcomes. This research feeds into the final design and informs the most appropriate methodology for delivery. We work with you to design the programme methodology and content.
Our philosophy is one of learning rather than teaching. We endeavour to make our programmes highly relevant, meaningful and stimulating by developing learning events that match the realities of participants working lives. It is our proven ability to transfer knowledge into relevant and practical learning that makes the fundamental difference to the way in which learning is transferred to the workplace.
