Cambridge Executive Education custom programmes strive to inspire, engage and enable.
Inspire Participants hear from leading faculty and expert business practitioners from Cambridge Judge Business School, the wider University, external partners and expert practitioners to bring new and inspiring perspectives to bear on contemporary business and leadership issues. They will develop as thought leaders and be encouraged to challenge mindsets and established paradigms. Engage We are able to leverage a wide range of opportunities to bring the learning experience to life. This ensures participants move beyond knowledge to stimulate profound personal change through a range of very different challenges and experiences, which could include leadership insights, company visits, creativity workshops and action learning. Enable The programme design will integrate learning with practice, providing structured opportunities for participants to apply their learning. It does this through: facilitating reflection, dialogue and discussion, enabling ongoing networking via a dedicated Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), and participation in work-based challenge projects. The goal is to enable participants to be agents of change and develop the knowledge, skills and abilities that can be readily applied in the workplace. Based on the philosophy of "inspire, engage and enable", Cambridge Executive Education will help you develop a custom programme tailored to you needs and will: • Build unity and alignment around strategy. Develop the executive capabilities needed to successfully and rapidly implement strategy. • Build core strength by accelerating the development of your pool of high potential talent. • Help executives make successful transitions at key milestones. • Identify and address critical marketplace/business challenges. Develop the mindsets, knowledge and skills needed to address those challenges. • Act as a catalyst for organisational change and transformation. Identify and develop the capabilities needed to transform. HOW WE WORK WITH YOU Our programmes bring together a range of learning styles and methods of delivery, based on our approach of "inspire, engage, enable". At the start of your relationship with us, a dedicated Client Director will work with you to achieve your learning outcomes. With experience in developing custom programmes to clients across the globe and from a wide range of business sectors, our Client Directors will provide exceptional service and deliver excellent results. Once a programme format and timescales have been agreed, a Programme Manager will work with you to make all logistical arrangements in advance of the programme. They will be your day-to-day contact in preparing for your arrival and will be on hand during the actual delivery to assist with any queries as they arise and ensure the whole process runs seamlessly. On an academic level, the programme will be led by a Faculty Programme Director whose role is to steer the 'learning journey' for participants, setting the context, facilitating discussion, debriefing sessions and working closely with participants to ensure their learning needs are met. The programme will combine a range of learning approaches that links new knowledge with participants' own real work experience. The Programme Director will be closely involved in the design and development phase to ensure the programme reflects the organisation's context and that programme aims are translated into meaningful learning objectives throughout the programme. Contact us to tell us how we can address your learning needs and develop a custom programme for you and your organisation. EXPERIENCE • Distinctively, your time in Cambridge is not limited to classroom-based activity and we aim to incorporate a number of practical experiences into the programme to aid understanding and to gain fresh perspectives on recurrent themes. • Leadership insights: hear powerful leadership journeys from successful business leaders and reflect on leadership challenges in a range of contexts such as at the Churchill Archive at Churchill College or perspectives on leadership in the arts at the University of Cambridge's Fitzwilliam Museum. • Company visits: to experience different business environments and study key corporate challenges in different contexts. We are ideally situated in the entrepreneurial 'Silicon Fen' area and with easy rail links to London we have access to many multinational and technologically innovative companies. • Creativity workshops: Leaders develop new insights into the experience of leadership through a range of creative and arts-based activities. Some recent activities include: an interactive session with the Cambridge orchestra in residence, Britten Sinfonia, exploring ideas on the nature of leadership, communication and team roles; voice workshops focussing on communication, leadership and the experience of change; theatre workshop on innovation, creativity, risk and failure. • Research at the cutting edge: A theme of sustainable environments can be explored in depth with a visit to a leading Cambridge research institute; e.g. exploring future global scenarios with a focus on climate change through a visit to the British Antarctic Survey, where leaders hear from scientists first hand, visit the ice cores and aquaria and challenge scientists on their understanding of climate change and its future implications. • The Cambridge Experience: the unique historical setting of the Cambridge Colleges can include a wider programme of visits and events that complements the programme themes, such as punting on the River Cam, the Pepys Library at Magdalene College, the Darwin Collection, the Wren Library at Trinity College, or the various Cambridge science museums. All of our programmes can include formal College dining and the opportunity to network with Cambridge faculty.
