“No-one matches our combination of client numbers, faculty, revenues and level of experience in the corporate field. Over 700 corporate clients a year use the services of Ashridge to make their organisations and people more effective.”
The majority of Ashridge’s work is with organisations (both in the public and private sector). This accounts for 55-60 per cent of our activity – unusual in the younger, student-heavy world of business schools – and this keeps our knowledge and thinking leading edge. Our practical, application-based approach, through all our executive development activities, makes us an ideal choice for many clients as we provide the rigour of an academic institution whilst bringing deep understanding of the real issues facing business today. This is generated through our extensive work with business leaders throughout the world. Our philosophy is that to work effectively with clients, we need to have worked in business and grappled with similar issues. Ashridge faculty therefore have extensive international business experience alongside significant academic credentials. Add to this our expertise in designing programmes that really make a difference and our consultancy edge, and we can offer something that is truly different. Developing leaders, driving performance, delivering results.
“If you can’t apply what you learn, then the lessons from a business school programme float away. Ashridge is very strong in practical application – not all business schools are.” Tim Calow, Head of Learning and Development, Skanska
A unique approach which combines results-driven executive development (open and customised), face-to-face and virtual solutions, organisational consultancy and executive coaching

“Ashridge works in partnership to design learning and development that is relevant and makes a tangible impact on the organisation.” Katarina Morger Wargsjo, Programme Director, Tetra Pak
The true value is in the outcome. Not all executive education focuses on the needs of the organisation as well as the individual participants. Ashridge believes that the true value of executive education is the impact it has within organisations and on the lives of practising managers and leaders. It is about enabling people to achieve great things and for organisations to fulfil their ambitions. Because we focus on results and impact, on designing processes and content which immediately link learning to action, our work with clients is rooted in adding value to both the organisation and the participant. How would your organisation benefit from this type of executive education approach? What would executive development interventions be able to achieve for your organisation?
“No strategy will ever work if an organisation’s people do not understand or value it. The Next Level Leader programme with Ashridge has played a vital part in supporting and developing managers to successfully execute the strategy.” Hans Stråberg, CEO, Electrolux. A good example of applying learning to a real world commercial situation. We worked in cross-functional teams and projects, learning about ourselves, our new colleagues and the business. It made the integration much smoother. One of Ashridge’s main strengths is the depth and quality of their people with a true business background.” Val Doyle, Group Development Manager, Fuller, Smith & Turner PLC. Leadership programme for 100 middle managers.
“The impact is far reaching – changing internal perceptions of marketing, increasing our commercial effectiveness and skills in capturing value, and supporting the evolution of a common marketing culture. Without the Global Marketing Academy, some of the outcomes (which include initiatives on segmentation, stronger customer loyalty platforms, and our downstream foodchains focus) would not be where they are today.” Friedrich Gruber, Global Head of Marketing and Business Excellence, Bayer Crop Science. Strategic marketing programme for 500 global marketing managers
“The programme has enabled strategy development and delivered tangible outcomes for Alfa Laval. After just four months of focused work, five business-critical strategic implementation plans were created by participants and agreed by senior leaders” Peter Balliere, Vice President Human Resources, Alfa Laval. Virtually delivered strategy development process for 30 managing directors and vice presidents.
