IEDP Executive Development Events
1) Seminars and executive lunches
Our seminars and executive lunches bring together users and providers of high level leadership development. We design each event as a constructive learning experience and an opportunity for senior executives and talent managers to share their experiences and objectives with leading academics and consultants involved in premier league leadership development.
Format: short (two hour) events in a central location of a large business city. Two or three short presentations from practitioners and providers from leading organisations are delivered, followed by an extensive Q&A session. This is followed by ample networking time.
Purpose: An opportunity for L&D professionals and talent managers to hear what their peers are doing and understand some focused exec-ed developments from leading faculty.
Audience: The events will be attended by an invited audience of 20-40 practitioners (senior exec-ed responsible executives from large organisations).

2) Round table workshops
This is the format, purpose and audience for IEDP round table events:
Format: full day workshops in a central location, hosted by an IEDP consultant, where two to four executive education providers present case studies or lead a discussion on a relevant topic followed by extensive Q&A session. Through the day participants break into smaller groups to work on pre-identified issues with other delegates facilitated by the leaders.
Purpose: To exchange ideas and solutions amongst leading practitioners and providers. Focus on real issues and ideas that participants have encountered or developed. Participants are able to explore concepts in peer groups and get the opportunity to think more freely and hear new research concepts.
Audience: 12-18 senior learning and development professionals / talent managers / HR directors / others involved with implementing executive education structures in large organisations.
3) Exec-ed retreats
Format: A high-level 1½ to 2 day residential event in an inspiring environment. Six ‘pairings’ of business school PLUS client organization attend (pairing could be three people).
Day 1: Morning and Afternoon – Structured sessions with breakout groups and workshop tasks (all mental not physical!).
Day 1: Evening – Research presentation and dinner.
Day 2: Morning – Round-up and extensive Q&A. Lunch and Leave.
Purpose: A focused learning event. To enable both practitioners and providers to get a detailed understanding of peers needs and challenges, and to identify what solutions others use to deal with these and what opportunities and techniques are available to solve these issues.
Audience: Very senior management from client side along with experienced faculty from the provider side.
4) Video ‘classroom’ participation
Format: scheduled 45 minute to 1 hour live webinar of a real exec-ed program at a leading business school, allowing viewers to ask questions of faculty and in-class participants at the end. The session would be recorded and be downloadable for other viewers on demand.
Purpose: to increase understanding amongst potential program purchasers of what takes place in an exec-ed program and better identify what factors are relevant to their needs.
Audience: up to 25 L&D viewers who can ask questions. On demand viewers without limit.
